It's the lunch time between 12.00 noon to 1.30 p.m., but my friend came to pick me up at 1.00 p.m. this afternnon. Therefore, I quickly organised a lunch at Restaurant Home because I wanted to try their dishes for the past 6 months. Unfortunately, they only open from 12.00 noon onwards.

When both of us entered into this restaurant, I have a sense of feeling that I am going to enjoy a home-style lunch with my favourite comfort food. My friend was aware that Chef-Director of Restaurant HOME (Award Winning Executive Chinese celebrity Chef Tan Yong Hua) will serve all our food with his heart.

Subsequently, we placed our order with the waitress without looking at the menu, which was being placed on the each table. We just customise/tailor our own set lunch based on the recommendation from her.

Kindly look at the decoration for my below 4 photographs to prove that it is quite neat.

I prefer this kind of nuts rather than crunchy-sweet nuts being served by other restaurants.

Since we are late for lunch, we decided to order their traditional Sour and Spicy Soup instead of Herbal Soup. The soup tasted just nice, not too sour or spicy. It went so smooth into my tastebud, where I thought it was being served spicy hot and sour soup with chicken cubes like other restaurants.

The last dish that everybody cannot miss is the Braised Duo Rice Vermicelli (tang hoon) and bee hoon with Pork Knuckles served in thick, papery oba Leaf. The pork knuckles are home made. Due to the rush of time, we did not try their desserts.

It is time to visit this restaurant for those residents living in the Bukit Timah area and I can assure that it will be one of the most popular zi char places in the west of Singapore. In addition, alcoholic drinks available and this restaurant able to take reservations.
