Judging by the name of the shop, you would probably think it is yet another hot pot restaurant, but NO! this is a different kind of hot pot. They have four types of hot pot, chicken, beef, prawn and fish. There is no soup base but the meat comes with sauce like those claypot chicken with gravy.Upon seating down, there was this unique side dish on the table. It was pickled sze chuan vegetable with chilli spices. The sze chuan vegetable is pretty salty, then mixed with the chilli spices, it tasted

Their hot pot came in three sizes, small, medium and large. since there were only 2 of us, we ordered the medium chicken pot. they also have three level of spiciness - not spicy, mild spicy, very spicy. we opted for the mild spicy, it turned out to be not too spicy. the gravy is very thick and tasty. it is best eaten with rice as it can be kind of salty. there were a lot of chicken meat but all the meat had bones in it. the meat was very tender so it was easy to remove it from the bones. on top of the chicken, there were also onions, capsicum, garlic and ginger in the gravy. the pot was placed on the mini steamboat burner so it was boiling non stop. After some time, the gravy sort of dried up so we signalled to the waitress, she kindly help us add soup into the pot. the soup is kind of special cos when she added to the pot, the gravy tasted kind of different, it became like stew. it was not diluted in any way which was good.

This is the little burner that they placed the pot on. It has this function to increase and decrease the fire so the gravy does not over boil. And somehow this burner did not have the painful eye stinging solid fuel smell.

The restaurant was not really big but it was decorated with brightly painted walls with images of their hot pot. Kind of friendly and warm setting. very comfy for those family outings.
