My boyfriend and I have read and heard pretty much a lot about Prive and wanted to check it out ourselves personally to find out what's all that hype going on about. We were there on a Friday night and it happened to be within the 4 days of the Boat Asia 2011 event. We ordered a main course each followed by beer and dessert. I had the fish n chips (kids one, as I wasn't feeling too hungry) whilst my boyfriend ordered the grilled chicken thigh. I ate mine and tried a little of the chicken. Honestl
We ordered a main course each followed by beer and dessert. I had the fish n chips (kids one, as I wasn't feeling too hungry) whilst my boyfriend ordered the grilled chicken thigh. I ate mine and tried a little of the chicken. Honestly, I feel that the food at Prive is really average, great ambience and service but the standard of food is nothing unique. Not that the food were under or overcooked, they just turned out bland.
We also ordered the hazelnut praline for dessert. I enjoyed the biscuit base a lot, the crispiness really added oomph to the overall. It was the highlight of our whole dinner. The cake wasn't too sweet either but really rich and heavenly! I like how the fresh dark pink raspberry with a little gold dust sat on top of the perfectly made slice-of-cake.
