I'm a big fan of the Lucky Plaza branch, so decided to try the famous ayam penyet at the Bedok outlet as well. Ordered my favorite dishes of ayam penyet and gado-gado. Ayam penyet (boneless): The boneless ayam penyet is $6.90 including rice, chicken, and one piece each of fried tempeh and tofu. It arrived quickly and tasted just as good as the original from Lucky Plaza. The chicken was really crispy and the sambal is so good! If you're a chili lover, it's a must try. Gado-gado: This Indonesian salad of boiled veggies in peanut sauce costs $5.50. It's yummy and the peanut sauce will cool your mouth off from the samabal. The portion is big enough to share.
We arrived around 7pm on Saturday night and there was no queue for a table. The restaurant is looks quite new and is cleaner than Lucky Plaza. Definitely one of the best places to eat at Bedok Point.
