I was hungry before a flight and Texas Fried Chicken caught my eye - seemed like the perfect innocuous food before traveling. I ordered the chicken strip set for a bit under $8 which included 3 chicken strips, fries, a biscuit, and a drink. Seems like a pretty good value for the airport.I got the food immediately and went and sat down. I could tell just by looking at them that the fries were not fresh (they look gross in the photo!). I took a bite and they were cold and hard - completely inedible. I took a bite of the chicken strips and they were at least warm, but still definitely not hot.
Anyway, I decided to ask for new fries since they were so terrible. I went up to the counter and explained, and they told me to come back in 3 minutes. When I returned I had to explain myself all over again, but I did eventually get new fries that were much better.
I thought this was pretty good for fast food - I liked the spicy chicken strips with all-white meat (though wish there was some sauce for it!) and the sweet, buttery biscuit - but they really need to pay more attention to quality control - what they initially served me was inedible.
