Just spontaneously decided to visit this Bak Kut Teh store when my friend and I passed it on the bus and it turned out to be our lucky day as the queue was unusually fast! Got a table after waiting for like 10 minutes (yay to spontaneity!), nonetheless the staff were all very busy since it was a full house. However, their service was very quick and our food came very soon after we made our order. We ordered a bowl of their Signature Bak Kut Teh (refillable), and Braised Pork Veg to share, along
We ordered a bowl of their Signature Bak Kut Teh (refillable), and Braised Pork Veg to share, along with 2 bowls of rice. Their soup was really good! Not overly peppery, and you could taste the sweetness of the pork ribs with all the herbs which is really testament to their long hours of brewing. The pork ribs were very tender so you don't have to worry about being unglam while trying to chew the huge chunk of meat of the bone
I don't really eat fatty pork very much for fear of the amount of fat, but their Braised Pork Veg is definitely worth every single calorie. The pork literally just melts in your mouth having being braised for I don't know how many hours, and it goes very well with the salted vegetable too. Our whole bill came up to around $10+ for a person, which is very cheap considering the standard of the meal.
