There was a new Bak Chor Mee stall in Jurong West Kopitiam. The same kopitiam as the famous Latiffa Huri Nasi Lemak.

Maybe there was too many malay food stalls in this area, this Bak Chor Mee stall had a queue similar as long as the famous Nasi Lemak stall during Lunch hour.

The Bak Chor Mee prices start from $3.50 and goes up to $8.50 for their special Bak Chor Mee with abalone, which is not cheap compared to other food stalls in the same kopitiam. So I just decided to order the basic Bak Chor Mee Pok at $3.50.

The queueing system was troublesome for a small stall in a kopitiam. You queue at cashier to order and pay, then queue again to collect your order. All self service. The total time waited about more than 15 minutes to collect my order.

I realised nowadays Bak Chor Mee had a missing ingredient, which was pork liver. This stall also did not have pork liver.

The Bak Chor Mee though without pork liver still tasted good. There was no vinegar in this Bak Chor Mee. The sauce was just braised mushroom sauce which was savoury sauce with a hint of sweetness. The mee pok was springy but was a bit dry, I had to add a spoonful of soup into the noodle.

There was generous meat in this Bak Chor Mee with minced meat, mushroom, pork ball and fish ball. I was surpised why was there a fried fishball in this Bak Chor Mee? But the fried fishball compliment the dish.
