Had a light lunch at Popeye's - Louisiana Pepper Nuggets & Mashed Potato. The fried chicken here definitely beats that of KFC flat (the latter often having a powdery texture), and the Cajun Fries is out of the world! This time round, I thought I attempt something different. The much-raved-about Mashed Potato is really something to rave about! ) The gravy was so delicious that I would order another one, if not for the calories. The Pepper Nuggets, on the other hand, was not worth it. They seemed like that of McDonalds Popcorn Chicken, which I always felt were odds and ends, and someone brilliantly came up with this name idea not to waste these parts. The Nuggets were simply smaller chunks of chicken. Didn't really like it. Would be more satisfied eating Chicken Tenders. There was a sauce that accompanied this dish. Not sure what it was but it has a sour taste to it. I'd rather have Thousand Island sauce (BYO).

On a busy weekend, the outlet only has 1 counter. At the time of my order, I can only see 3 staff - 1 cashier, 1 server & 1 fryer. I really salute the cashier (Judith, I think) and the server (Wina, I think).
They were really flexible in their roles - covered each other and took on additional duties such as clearing tables and even did the frying (fryer guy was obviously oblivious to the customer queue and disappeared at times)!
I was fairly surprised to see that only 3 staff were manning an outlet on a weekend, and it did catered for more patience from me in the queue. However, I later saw 4 other staff appearing from behind, and doing practically NOTHING in the back scene (1 was even standing in front of the fan to cool off!). Bloody bummers!

Notwithstanding having to wait unnecessarily for my food, I will still give credit for the food in Popeyes. However, I don't think I will visit this outlet again, lest my blood boil from witnessing bummers!

Total Cost:
Louisiana Pepper Nuggets - $4.70 (6 pcs)
Mashed Potato - $2.50, or add on to a combo meal for $1.50
