One of my favourite fast food alternatives is Long John Silver's. This is mainly because of their chicken and their fries. Although the portion of their food and packaging, along with their prices have underwent some evolution, the food still remains consistently nice.I usually order the 3 piece chicken set ($5.50) which comes with fries and regular drink. I usually order the 3 piece chicken set ($5.50) which comes with fries and regular drink. I like the batter used for the chicken as it is quite crispy, though the chicken inside may be quite tough. Their chilli sauce is also complements the chicken and fries very well. The chicken is quite salty on itself too so it's also fine without the chilli sauce. The fries seems to be seasoned with some special ingredients or cooked in some oil because it just turns out different from those offered at McD's and KFC. The fries is equally crispy and even when left over a period of time, it's still quite nice to munch on.
