Read about this stall on OpenRice, and gave it a shot. As 1 reader said, there was indeed a queue on a weekend morning, but no fuss as the queue cleared steadily. Lor Mee was a popular choice this morning. But I was feeling adventurous, and ordered Bak Kut Mee. Coincidentally, the customer in front of me ordered the same, and it turned out to be Bak Kut Teh, with dry noodles on the side. I had ordered the "big" version ($4), thinking that I might as well make my queuing worth. I was over-rewarded! The serving was so huge, it took me more than 1 hr to devour the food completely!
There were 5 pork ribs in the noodles, and they were all very tender and marinated well. The noodles were a tad salty but this was easily accustomed to upon each bite.
If this dish can include more condiments such as fishcake, beansprouts etc, it would certainly enhance its overall appeal. This enhancement can replace the increased amount of noodles tagged to the higher price. Well, I guess with the current steady stream of customers, this need not be a priority for now.
I will visit this stall again, and order Laksa. Next time round, I'd keep my order to $3.
