I dropped by candy empire to grab some snacks and saw this interesting pack of kuih bangkit look alike snack. It was imported from Germany and costs only $3.50 ($3.25 without GST). All stores in Changi Airport do not charge GST so if you're going to buy a whole bunch of candies from candy empire, you should definitely come to this outlet. Anyway, I learned that the snack is called meringue which is a type of dessert made from whipped egg whites and sugar. The one I bought had a fruity flavouring

Anyway, I learned that the snack is called meringue which is a type of dessert made from whipped egg whites and sugar. The one I bought had a fruity flavouring. I popped one in and it just melts in my mouth like kuih bangkit does just that instead of flour, it is all sugar. Surprisingly though, even with so much sugar, it was not too sweet.
It doesn't taste bad but it is definitely something you don't want to snack on more than 3 consecutively. I got sick of it on my second one. Do give it a try if you don't know what a meringue is! Its worth trying!
