The carrot cake at this carrot cake stall in Banquet is not like any other carrot cake...but not in a good way. The carrot cake (literally), unlike other carrot cakes, are in huge chunks. They are probably just sliced using knife then thrown into the wok without breaking them into smaller pieces. As a result, it was kind of like eating those big square carrot cakes you can purchase from Old Chang Kee. Additionally, the carrot cake didn't have the "fried taste" to it. As a result, it was kind of like eating those big square carrot cakes you can purchase from Old Chang Kee. Additionally, the carrot cake didn't have the "fried taste" to it. It didn't taste terrible but I just didn't like it because of the way it was cooked.

To be fair to the stall, I think everyone has to try it to determine whether they'll like it or not. We hardly see fried carrot cake in huge chunks so each person may have different opinions about eating carrot cakes that way.
