Just wanted to share my latest find with fellow chocolate aficionados out there. Nestled at the basement of 313 @ Somerset, I had previously dismissed Chocololate Origins as a purveyor of solely chocolate flavoured chiffon or pandan cakes. Light and probably savoury, but not packed with that chocolaty intensity that I always look for.Boy was I wrong.I totally missed out on their lava cake which might be a crime in itself. At $5 per cup, it comes across a tad expensive given the size of the servi
Boy was I wrong.
I totally missed out on their lava cake which might be a crime in itself.
At $5 per cup, it comes across a tad expensive given the size of the serving. But the what it lacks in size, it more than makes up with the flavour and texture. The cake is moist and served piping warm with a liquid chocolate centre. Cut straight down and you'll reach the creamy vanilla icecream the cake is served with - every mouthful gives a delightful contrast in texture and taste. A must-try for all chocoholics alike!
P.S.: There's no takeaway packaging though. So consumption on the spot is definitely recommended both for taste and convenience.
