The layers between the cake look even more delectable. Sure enough, when we cut the cake and distributed it, everybody commented about how good it was and that they liked it, chocolate-lovers and chocolate-haters alike. I guess "balance" was the key in this. It was chocolately enough, yet not overly sweet or thick. To prevent it from being overly-generous with the chocolate element, they used some light chocolate mousse and crunchy hazelnut flakes. There were lots of these crunchy-textured pralines that gave the cake some bite (in terms of texture) and added that surprise element to it.Love it!
