Twelve cupcakes was one of the first brands that boosted the cupcake scene in Singapore, but having been in the market for some years, I haven't got a chance to try until quite recently! After trying some of the other cupcakes, I realise that twelve cupcakes' cupcakes are priced in the rather affordable range as compared to the rest. I was quite lucky the night I went to get twelve cupcakes for the first time, they were having a buy 4 get 2 free promotion, probably a closing sale as it was close
I was quite lucky the night I went to get twelve cupcakes for the first time, they were having a buy 4 get 2 free promotion, probably a closing sale as it was closed to 9pm already. I wanted to get 4 initially, so the promotion just means I'll get 2 free!
There was a queue but it moved relatively fast. However, when it was my turn to buy, I could only get my hands on 1 red velvet cupcake! The flavours of the cupcake change everyday with the exception of some popular ones like red velvet! There wasn't much I could choose from since only a few flavours are left, so I got mostly chocolate based cupcakes with strawberry frosting, chocolate frosting, and oreo frosting!
After trying out the cupcakes in 2 days, I still prefer the red velvet one! Probably because the cream cheese with the chocolate based cupcape combination gives a little sour yet sweet taste, which you will not get sick of it. The oreo one was ordinary and the strawberry one is too sweet for me. I gave the chocolate one to my sister so I did not have a chance to try it.
