This is a memorable dinning moment for me because the curry puffs from this very stall is a shared love between myself and an ex-colleague turned good friend.I used to work in this area and Maxwell Food Centre has always been one of our regular hangouts for a quick lunch. Sometimes, when we were there for a late lunch then we usually skipped a proper lunch but went straight for Curry Puff. I used to work in this area and Maxwell Food Centre has always been one of our regular hangouts for a quick lunch. Sometimes, when we were there for a late lunch then we usually skipped a proper lunch but went straight for Curry Puff. This stall is manned by an english speaking Uncle and he is selling different type of Curry Puffs including the usual curry potato, sardine and even black pepper chicken.
I usually ended up with a curry potato and a sardine one to eat in the office. The filling for the curry potato has gotten the nice potato cubes nicely fried with aromatic curry powder to just right and not too messy in texture. The sardine filling was a little spicier and rather moist in texture with chunky pieces of sardine found in it. The crust has gotten a nice crispiness and not too oily.
Though i left the company for a while now but i still ended up with one or two of their puffs whenever i am in the vicinity.
