Visited TCC one nice afternoon with friends to catch up and chit chat. This cafe chain has the perfect setting to sit around and spend a lazy afternoon together with friends. We decided to order a dessert and was initially attracted to the name and pictures of "Dark Devotion" in their menu. We decided to order a dessert and was initially attracted to the name and pictures of "Dark Devotion" in their menu. When the dessert arrived at our table, we were quite pleasantly surprised by the impeccable presentation of the dish. The dish was garnished with fresh slices of strawberries and sauce, it looked almost similar to the pretty photo depicted on the menu.

 Dark devotion is consists of warm dark chocolate lava cake topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The lava cake wasn't really very big, but it contained lots of molten, smooth dark chocolate that flowed out as we pierced the lava cake with our forks. It definitely went well with the cold vanilla ice cream. There was also supposed to be a delicate orange sesame tuile to complement the dish, but we found the tuile to be just a simple lattice of icing sugar that did not really enhance the dish. We did enjoy the combination of chocolate, vanilla and strawberry garnishing. A worthy dessert to try here at TCC!
