This restaurant is recommended by my friend from Hong Kong. The signage and name is exactly the same as Hong Kong Lei Garden. It was one of my favorite dim sum place few years back. First walk in to the restaurant, the reception will ask your name, it seems they are professional. The interior is nice and they have a good seafood fish tank. The appetizer was good, it was 雪菜銀魚仔. And I ordered a cup of 羅漢果to my husband. It was good too. Dim sum option is very limited, I was quite disappointed. By the way, the dim sum choices in HK branch were more or less the same. So I couldn't complain Singapore one.
We had tried 北菇燒賣, 叉燒飽, 蘿白糕, 鮮蝦腸粉, 炸荔茸盒, 鮑汁炆鳳爪.
北菇燒賣, 蘿白糕, 炸荔茸盒, 鮑汁炆鳳爪. These four dishes are good. Especially the 鳳爪, it is soft and creamy.
However, the 叉燒飽 came with a strong chemical smell, we guess the ingredient is not right. My husband would like to have it returned. But I did not want to bother.
鮮蝦腸粉, the soy sauce is too salty, it supposed to be sweet.
We spent about $55 for both of us, price is reasonable in Orchard area. I may come back if I miss the 鮑汁炆鳳爪. As I have no idea where else will have this dish.
