I am never a fan of the fan choy since it is usually very greasy and has little substance, with the bulk of the fan choy being the rice. However, after having this, I had a better opinion about fan choy. This stall's fan choy has more substance, with a more appropriate ratio of rice to ingredients. The char siew is sliced very nicely and is really shiny with all the gravy drizzled on to it when the stall owner flipped it over to place it on the plate. However, after having this, I had a better opinion about fan choy. This stall's fan choy has more substance, with a more appropriate ratio of rice to ingredients. The char siew is sliced very nicely and is really shiny with all the gravy drizzled on to it when the stall owner flipped it over to place it on the plate. The rice was moistened with the savoury sweet sauce which made it really flavourful. Also, it is not too greasy which is definitely a plus point.
