Had always wanted to try this stall after seeing the huge plate decor just outside the stall. You choose your choice of curry rice then indicate the number of flames desired. I have to mention that they do not have very customer friendly facing staff as throughout the order i did not hear a word from the girl, perhaps it was a bad day for her. Seats are wooden platform type, nothing much to shout about. Initially when me and my other 2 colleagues sat down, i was concerned that we do not hv enough space coz i see the huge plate on the table next to us. Then i came to know the huge plate only applies to the premium items that cost >$20+. My chicken katsu curry rice was served pretty quickly (it was near to 2pm so no crowd) and were immediately greeted by the strong aroma of the curry sauce. Your flame level is also indicated on the sauce itself (the unique sign is created using garlic chilli sauce look alike). But be warned the flame level is no joke, i ordered a flame 2 and was already tamed quietly with its level of spiciness and i did not entirely mix it with the curry sauce. The chicken katsu came in a nice big slice and goes well with the dark colored curry sauce. I was contemplating how to eat it - whether to mix it all up with the rice or to add on to the rice as per desire. I went with the latter option and was glad i did that, mixing it altogether may hv made it a little too overwhelming. Anyway prices excludes gst so do rem to add 10%+7% in your consideration for food option.
