I visited EspresSoup before to try out their bread soups. I am not a big fan of soups but I was keen to try their soup breads as I have passed by the shop in Jurong Point frequently before it was closed previously. They look so yummy! And it was a relatively new concept to me. I ordered the Chick-A-Leekie ($9.80 + an additional $3 for the bread) and Carbonara Pasta ($8.80). I am not a heavy eater so I immediately regretted ordering so much.I was pleased with the overall presentation of the soup

I was pleased with the overall presentation of the soup and pasta but I felt that being a light eater, it definitely proved too much for me. They were pretty generous with the ingredients for the soup. I remembered thinking that there seems to be an endless supply of chicken and leeks in my soup.

The bread was quite lovely after soaking in the soup though when you reach the eating-the-bread part, it can get quite messy. I don’t know how most people do it.
The Carbonara pasta was so-so with vegan bacon bits. (Then again, you seldom see restaurants serving good carbonara pasta.) I love that it was topped with an egg yolk. (85 marks for presentation!)

Still I believe a one-time visit to this restaurant is enough since i am not a particular fan of soupy stuffs.
