Artistry is one of the latest cafes opened in the Bugis, Kampong Glam area. What makes it interesting and unique is that it is a art gallery cum cafe. It encourages all people who are interested in art, be it paintings, music or drama, to join them in their little space tucked at Jalan Pinang. I got invited to the Burpple meet-up session and I'm glad they chose Artistry 'cos I've been wanting to visit it since it opened!
They get their pies from the popular Windowsill, which I would review in future. The kind folks at Burpple recommended the Red Velvet cake so I got one to try. The cake was light and fluffy and wasn't too sweet. The cream cheese went really well with the cake and with the coconut shavings, the cake was just perfecto. Artistry uses coffee beans from Liberty and I was very satisfied with my mocha (courtesy of Burpple)
Do check out Artistry if you are around the area. It is one of the better coffee places there, the other being Maison Ikkoku.
