I don't live anywhere near Dawaat Tandoori, but the North Indian food is so good that my boyfriend and I make the trip out here at least once a month. This is going to sound silly, but it really reminds us of Indian restaurants in Canada: a casual setting, friendly staff who treat you like a friend, and reasonable prices.

Anyway, if you like North Indian food you'll love everything on the menu. The chicken tikka is tender, the aloo gobi is perfectly spiced, the paneer dishes melt in your mouth, the butter chicken is so delicious you'll be licking the bowl, the naan is perfectly chewy, etc. It's impossible to order wrong, and most meat dishes are around $13 and veg dishes under $10.

If you come on a weekday you can get one of the set meals (see the photo) which give you a chance to try a few of the most popular dishes. They come with naan bread, rice, dessert, and a drink and are S$12-15 each (there are a few choices).

Dawaat definitely strikes the perfect balance between offering great food and great prices. Highly recommended.
