I'm not a big fan of Long John Silver's fried chicken planks so normally I'd stick to their Grilled Cajun Chicken set, which consists of grilled cajun chicken, rice, fries and skin-on potato chips. Do note that the skin-on potato chips do not come with cheese. Uh-huh, you read it right. I was surprised too when I was told that. The potato chips are just way too dry to be eaten without cheese. I guess it is part of the plan to get people who want to eat the chips pay $0.60 for the additional chee
On the bright side, the skin-on potato chips with cheese are really good and it'll be worth the additional $0.60. However, this time round, the portion of chips given to me was shockingly small so I was pretty disappointed in this outlet. Their portion sizing has always been inconsistent but I got like only 4 pathetic chips
Anyway, onto the main dish, the grilled cajun chicken! Its very soft and moist. It has kind of a salty taste to it and often have layers of fats in between in the skin and meat. It'll be good to remove the fats because I've tried them on accident before, and I assure you they don't taste nice The chicken goes great with the rice but you may also want to note that the rice has a weird taste (not exactly in a bad way though!)
The set costs $6.70 and is very filling. However, it does not come with a drink so you'd probably want to bring your own drink or buy one b/c after eating the fries and chips, you can be pretty thirsty!
