I went to carousel on Wednesday for their high tea buffet. it was a treat from my sis and I to our mother. We tried to find a nice high tea buffet but not many hotels offer weekday high tea. we settled for carousel. The price for one person is $33++ but I paid with Citibank credit card so have 15% discount. They only have 15% discount on weekdays, on weekends, it is only 10%. Other credit cards that have discount is DBS, AMEX, OCBC and UOB, the 15% and 10% also applies for them.The variety of their high tea buffet is of course not as much as their lunch or dinner buffet. there appetisers, there were sashimi, sushi and seafood. They were very prompt in refilling the sashimi as they are very popular with the diners. The sashimi especially the salmon one was very fresh.
They also have a “live” station where they make popiah for you. The popiah was really good, the filling was very tasty. but I must say, the dessert station is the best. They have two fondue fountains. One is chocolate and another one is strawberry chocolate. They also have a lot of fruits and cakes for you to dip into the fondue fountain. However, unlike the last time I ate at equinox, they did not prepare a bowl of cold water for you to dip the fondue inside to harden the chocolate. But nevertheless it was really good. their dessert spread was also very large, they had ice kachang counter for you to diy your ice kachang. There were a lot of fruits as well, from watermelon to dragon fruit, good to cleanse your stomach after eating so much. The cakes selections were a lot too, and all were cut into bite size so you can try more flavours.
