Even though there are lots of places selling egg tarts and egg tarts comes in a variety be it regarding its pastry or it's flavour, i still like Bengawan Solo ones when once in a while my craving for egg tarts strike me strongly. Bengawan's egg tart is different from the rest as its pastry casing is not those well-loved flaky type, nor is it the crumbly, crunchy cookie type. Instead, it is a 'cookie' like dough, but soft in texture and sweeter than average tart dough. Paired with the smooth egg
