I was attracted by some of those media clippings on display and decided to get 5 pieces of beef and 5 pieces of chicken satays from this stall. I waited for about 10 minutes before gotten my order. I waited for about 10 minutes before gotten my order. I ordered some ketupat (malay rice cake) to go along. The lady took out a big piece of ketupat and cut them into smaller pieces then into a plastic bag. She dropped quite a few pieces on the table while cutting it, she picked them up and put it right back into the plastic bag. It was a little disturbing to see it. Her table might not be clean hence she should not picked it up and served it by putting it back into the plastic bag. I paid a total of $6.00 for all.
We had it for dinner at home. Both chicken and beef satay tasted good, the meat was well-marinated and grilled it nicely. It would be good if the meat was a little more charred. The peanut gravy was a little spicier and less peanut taste as compared to my usual choice for satay from a Chinese stall in Clementi.
I still prefer my usual choice somehow.
