Honestly speaking, I have never tasted Irish food nor have I been to a Irish Pub. After my first visit to Mulligan Pub, I tell myself this will definitely not be the first and last time.The pub gave me a cosy feeling with its dim lights and friendly staff. There are also televisions screening live telecast of soccer matches. The staff constantly walks around the dining area to make sure the patrons are well taken care of. There is not only Irish food in the menu but local dishes as well. According to the chef Ivan Ho, Clake Quay is a place commonly frequented by tourists and foreginers. Therefore, he would like to promote local food to these people and let them have a taste of our local delicacy.
I had fish & chips, steak and cheese pie and beef stew. My favourite dish is the steak and cheese pie. Basically, it's chunks of steak in a cheese pie. I love the pie because the taste of the pie is just too cheesy and good. Not forgetting the steak which is tender and soft and most importantly, easy to chew.
Another thing I like about Mulligan is that unlike other places, one can make reservations on weekends for lunch or dinner. This helps to save a lot of queuing time.
If you are looking for good chillout place, good food, good drinks and good music, Mulligan Pub is definitely the place to be...
