This is my favorite place for afternoon tea because of the price. This is my favorite place for afternoon tea because of the price. A Devonshire cream tea set for only ~$12 after GST is a steal if you compare it to afternoon tea buffets.

The set includes two scones (wonderful butter taste), two sandwich (one with cucumber, one with margerine?), a toasted fruitcake and three small pots of jam, butter and Devonshire cream.

You can also pick coffee or tea to go with your set. The tea comes in a pot so that's a lot of drinks to pass the afternoon.

All the food is great (maybe not the cucumber sandwich) but the highlight of the set is the Devonshire cream. Try tasting it before putting it on your scone. It reminds me of coconut flavoring but creamy. The butter's also not bad (anything is better than margerine).

The set might seem small but it's actually very filling for one person.

The restaurant
The restaurant is at the very end of Holland Village. Inside, the airconditioning is great to beat the heat. Lighting can be a bit dark (or romantic, depending on how you see it). There are sofa chairs and even a knight's armour.

If you end up sitting outside, it can get quite hot and humid. During later in the evening, mosquitoes will come out. The staff lights mosquitoes repellant incense but sometimes it doesn't work too well.

The staff is okay in service. No over the top fawning over customers but sometimes it's a bit hard to catch their attention since the inside is rather crowded.

The cream tea set is only served from 3-6pm, daily. So time your lunch right (or don't eat lunch).

Tip: If you order the set in pairs, they will serve everything on a large plate and only provide one pot of jam, butter and cream. But you can ask for a refill.
