More often than not, one of the most recognizable forms of catering i see is the packed nasi lemak from Lee Wee and Brothers' Foodstuff. The box is coloured orange and green and so it's very easy to tell straightaway.Anyway one day while coming back to work on a Saturday, my friends and i were treated to Nasi Lemak from this stall. The rice is really fragrant, with the banana leaf smell and taste. The lunchbox comes with a chicken wing, otah, fish cake, ikan bilis, cucumber and chilli. These are ingredients commonly found in nasi lemak. I like the otah and fish cake as they are easy enough to eat. For the chicken wing, its hard trying to eat it with a plastic spoon. Although it looks like its prepared several hours in advance, it still tastes good. All the ingredients tasted fresh without any weird smell. The fish cake is springy, the chicken wing a little soggy (can't be helped since its been a few hours) but still tastes good. The otah is nice too. I love the chilli and its nice that its packed in little containers. If you order catering, you cannot really predict how many don't take chilli with their nasi lemak, So by putting it in a container, if the person doesn't eat chilli, he/she can remove it easily.
