After a movie, my friend and i went to Fruit Paradise for some refreshing yet satisfying fruit tarts. There was a new tart flavour called "Persimmon Deluxe". The tart was nicely plated with drizzle of chocolate sauce at the side of the plate. The tart base consist of a slightly bitter chocolate tart pastry base, with chocolate ganache-like layer, followed by a moist, not too sweet chocolate sponge cake with fresh cream. There was a topping of fresh, sweet persimmon, pear and sweet potato intersperes with fresh cream. 2 big dollops of fresh cream, drizzle of caramel sauce, sprinkle of almond flakes, with a big wedge of persimmon ends of the beautiful creation.
The chocolate base was not too sweet with hint of the bitterness that comes with dark chocolates. Pairing this with the sweet fruits and fresh cream, the taste was not too rich despite how it looks like. Overall, a good choice for chocolate and persimmon lovers.
However, it is rather expensive with it costing about $10 after GST.
