This stall is strongly recommended by my sister. She said, i gotta be there early as they sold out pretty fast. I made an effort to be there before 11 am on a weekday. Uncle was still there all by himself, deep-frying those sticks of carrot cake at the stall. It is normal carrot cake but instead of serving it in pieces, it is cut into sticks then deep fried it. It is selling at 9 sticks for $1. I heard it used to be 0.10 cents per stick. I ordered $2 to go. It was quite a big bag with 18 sticks

It has got an old school taste that i enjoyed. The Uncle deep-fried it well to give the surface a nice crispiness but still tasted soft within. I suppose the taste would be further enhanced if chilli sauce is provided to go with them. It still went well with my cup of coffee nonetheless.

It is a good and economical choice for snack. More importantly, it is vegetarian too.
