Heard about this new japanese fine dining joint at boat quay, helmed by Chef Kishio Watanbe, who is a pioneer of introducing Omakase styled dining in Singapore. Pretty impressed with the concept with different dining area to cater to different dining style - alfresco dining overlooking spore river, 1st floor sushi counter where you can witness chef food preparation and 2nd floor cosy dining area with around 6-7 tables. Design theme is more contemporary as opposed to the traditional japanese feel

Design theme is more contemporary as opposed to the traditional japanese feel. I like the comfy office like leather chairs with ergonomically designed hand rest. Anyway i knew this place would not disappoint since i do see quite a few tables of japanese diners on site. Back to the food, I chose the Omakase set which cost $68 for lunch. According to the menu, the dinner version comes in $80/$120/$150 variants. For lunch, here were a total of 8 cse served including dessert. I missed out taking the photo of the appetizer which comes in 2 small suacers, one with noodles, one with some crunch vegetables. The other dish i forgotten to take photo is the tamago and sashimi nigiri sushi set. Dessert served was a slice of jap rock melon. It would be nice if i can see Epachi up their level of service like explaining the individual dishes served, that i would think it makes a complete dining experience of eating the food and knowing it as well. Overall a fantastic eat, friendly service staff and modern looking interior, the winner for me was the wagyu beef and oxtail stew which is something you dun always get served in a jap restaurant. Thumbs up for its ambiance and i would definitely recommend this for business dining and couple meals.
