Lately there has been all the hype about a new ice-cream parlour that had opened its doors at Bedok Point replacing Buttercake & Cream called Moments of Delight. Not many people however knows the existance of it’s first outlet, which is hidden at Kurau Court sandwiched by private housing.There are two cabinets of flavours to choose from, from basic ones such as Vanilla to alcoholic ones such as Rum N Raisin. There are two cabinets of flavours to choose from, from basic ones such as Vanilla to alcoholic ones such as Rum N Raisin. I chose Chewy Brownie and Coffee w Baileys. The Coffee w Baileys is your usual Irish Coffee/Irish Latte type of ice-cream. The one here seems a tad darker than the ones sold at other places. While it is definitely stronger in terms of coffee, I find it a nice proportion of both flavours and tasted rather balanced. The Chewy Brownie had a real lasting impression on me; most places such as Ben & Jerry’s have brownie-infused flavours that uses chocolate as the base (as the name goes; Chocolate Fudge Brownie). Moments of Delight decides to have a different approach by putting their Vanilla flavour as a base. The rich Vanilla was definitely the right flavour to use as the base as it made the ice-cream felt less heavy on the already very chocolate-y brownie, yet you could taste and chew the brownie and the nuts in it.
