It's next to the MRT and bus-stop so it's convenient. It's super small and cramped and uncomfortable to be in the store. You can't eat the ice-cream outside because it's too hot and and the ice-cream melts in 1 minute if you're outside. My ice-cream already started melting indoors. The store isn't even cold enough to keep the ice-crem from melting.The service is bad, and no one seems to knwo what they are doing. The value is worse, considering it's $10 for 3 SMALL scoops of ice cream and 1/10 of a bar of topping, all in a cup that's less than 250ml. I thought the extra $1 will mean at least half a bar of the Heathbar topping I wanted but they only sprinkled less than 1/10th of the Heathbar on my ice-cream. it wasn't even mixed in!
And another ice-cream we had for $10 was a Willy wonka in a waffle cone. In the picture it's already in a cone but if you order it, they will give it to you in a cup, unless you pay extra for the cone. False advertising! And it doesn't look like the menu pictures at all! This shop ran out of chocolate chips so they used chocolate sprinkles instead. Can't they just get more from Cold Storage downstairs? We ordered waffle cone for this so they used a HOT waffle which melted the ice-cream very quickly!
We looked like wannabes sitting in a tiny little cramped shop eating $10 ice-creams!
The flavours didn't taste that great at all. For gourmet ice-creams, NTUC sells better ones in tubs! And there're 2 different prices for the same things on the menu. WHY?
The tiny portions for the Big Dipper triple scoop was shocking. I have never been so insulted! 3 tiny scoops for $10!! I had Strawberry which was not good since there was no strawberry bits and was just a pink mess. A Vanilla didn't have vanilla seeds and didn't taste much like vanilla. The only flavour I liked was Mint which did NOT have chocolate in it. This is the only place so far that I've found that has Mint without chocolate in it. I LOVE Mint without chocolate in it! BUT the texture was more sorbet than ice-cream. I am not sure what this joint is doing, but quality is really bad for "gourmet" ice-creams. The ice-cremas other than the chocolate weren't creamy at all.
Overall, it's way below average and the serving size was embarrassing. The service is bad, the setting is bad too. Not recommended. Waste of time. Highly over-priced.
