Heard so many people raving over this mee pok in the traditional coffeeshop which was also the filming set of the Mee Pok Man and decided to try it for myself on a weekday lunch. Love the ambience of the coffeeshop with its old school feel and the marble tables. There was a steady flow of lunch crowd too, with office workers coming from around the neighbourhood. The mee pok didnt impress though, in fact it was quite forgettable. Personally, I find it a tad too soft and soggy and not springy enough for my liking. The generous portion of fishballs and fishcakes tasted quite normal too, not fantastic. Didnt quite understand why people labelled this mee pok as one of the best mee pok they have ever had, for me it definitely did not fit that label, for I have eaten much tastier and delicious mee pok elsewhere.
