I was warmly welcomed by the staff of Pastamania when I entered and ushered to my seat. Didn't quite expect such a warm reception, but I felt it was a nice touch. After taking a look at their menu I decided to try their risotto instead of their usual pasta items. I had their Prawns and Mussels Risotto ($10.50) which is essentially prawns, mussels & arborio rice cooked with homemade broth, tomato sauce and parmesan cheese. When I received my dish, I was a little taken aback by the small portion of rice. I wished they could be more generous, nonetheless it managed to fill me up as it was starchy rice with lots of cheese. I actually liked the hint of tomato in the risotto sauce, which explain the slight reddish hue of the rice, however, the rice in my opinion was not soft enough and it could have been stewed a little longer to absorb more flavour from their risotto broth.
