Closes one day a month They have won many awards in the past decades. Here's a board showing off some of their certificates and celebrities who have recommended their food. In fact, they have a few signboards showing different certificates and also several actual certs pasted around the coffee shop. This prawn mee stall occupies the entire coffee shop, and my guess is that they also man the drinks stall. Here's a complete menu and respective prices of their food. Order of the day - Big prawn with pig tail noodles, and big prawn with pork rib noodles. Both $7 for a medium bowl.
They don't allow refilling of soup, it costs 50 cents for another small bowl.
The secret to their success lies in the soup broth - thick, intense, fragrant. The prawns are fresh and chewy, noodles (I usually go with thick bee hoon) are slightly bouncy. There is also a generous amount of bean sprouts.
I like to turn up this awesome dish with a bit of heat, so I throw in a little chilli powder in the soup and also dip the ingredients in dark soy sauce with chilli padi.
After my meals here, my tummy always feels warm and fuzzy and comfortable!
