I was driving by jurong east and my girlfriend suggested we head to the new shopping mall jcube for lunch. We went to look at the directory, wanted to try the Taipei restaurant but the queue was so long so we settled for kung fu paradise which had a shorter queue. We didn’t wait long to be seated. This restaurant had a kung fu theme and everything was orange in colour, my girlfriend was kind of thrilled with the decorations. I looked at menu and was kind of spoilt for choice, my girlfriend and I happened to choose the same food which was the chicken katsu baked rice. We thought we had to wait really long for the baked rice but it only took 15 minutes. When it arrived, the rice was piping hot, the cheese on top of the rice was melting and a little charred too. The chicken katsu was deep fried till very crispy on the outside and the meat was tender and juicy inside. The dish was not too dry as well, it was really good. We both enjoyed it a lot!
