This is my second time at Pita Pan and while quality wise it is not too bad for the price, it really fails in quantity and obviously we are not talking about fine dining here. The Red Shakshuka is basically a dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, chili peppers, onions, often spiced with cumin. It is believed to have a Tunisian origin. And i must say.. it goes very well with the pita bread. The tomato-based sauce gives it a fresh and tangy flavour and eggs added provide fullness.

My other friends ordered the half pita which is a half pita bread with falafel in it and you are allowed to choose some salad to fill it up. The last time i went we were allowed to fill it up ourself (read:Squeeze as much as you can in it!) but now they actually assign the staff to do it. It was a miserable sandwich and when we were eating my friends were already joking about having a second helping of Mac's.

Will I go back? Yes.. for affordable food near the bayfront and its unique menu, but not on a regular basis because the quantity leaves me frustrated each time!
