This is probably the most famous chicken rice in town as indicated on their signboard. And, it has been around for many years right at this coffee shop.

I tasted a certain familiarity bringing back remembrances of the old times. I used to be here on a regular basic with my mother. This was her favorite chicken rice then.

After so many years, it still tasted very much the same. The chicken chopped into pretty big pieces with its succulent juiciness still intact. The skin tasted flavorful and not oily. There was a light chicken broth taste in the rice with a rather good texture. The best of everything gotta be the killer chilli. It is still one of the best chilli for chicken rice that i ever tasted. And beware, the spiciness of the chilli is definitely not for the faint hearted. If you have little tolerance towards spiciness then it is better for you to just stay away. I can clearly taste the distinct garlic taste in the chilli with a controlled amount of ginger added. The exceptionally good chilli definitely helped to enhance the flavor of the chicken and the rice to make it one of the best around.

All in all, this is still one of my prefer choice for chicken rice in town. Strongly recommended.
