The dry/tossed noodles that I had came with fairly big prawns halved lengthwise for easy eating & came with a sinful spoonful of crunchy lard cubes & fried shallots. Customers can help themselves to Zhen Zi's fragrant chilli powder, along with other condiments like sliced chilli & sambal chilli. The chilli powder packs a punch & adds a spicy kick to the soup. Zhen Zi is known for its robust prawn stock & the small bowl that accompanied my order of dry/tossed noodles certainly lived up to its reputation, brimming over with the 'unami' flavour of fresh prawns & pounded prawn shells. My noodles were tossed with a generous handful of bean sprouts & water spinach (kangkong) that the hawker had blanched quickly & drained before being added to the bowl of noodles. The pork ribs were not bad too.
