The authentic Hong Kong Shao La stall was first introduced by my pal who stays in Bukit Batok. The authentic Hong Kong Shao La stall was first introduced by my pal who stays in Bukit Batok. When he told me to visit the coffeeshop in Bukit Batok community Club, I was quite surprised as I felt that it was unusual to have stalls in a community club.

Initially we wanted to order the roast duck noodles and char siew rice but that was not available during the time of visit. Therefore we have ordered this additional item, Shao Rou (Roasted Meat) as part of our meal and decided to buy our lunch from its neighbor stalls. Due to its popularity, it was known that their roasted delights are fast selling and turnover was quick.

Highly recommended by my pal, the meat was crispy at the top portion of the skin. It was quite a meaty dish and some portion of them are burnt which was not to my liking. We had the burnt portion peeled off and dipped the meaty portion into the spicy chilli. Yum! Warning, you may feel sinful after having this but luckily we are sharing.

Cost: S$5.00
