Mention Ikoi to any foodie (at least the japanese ones) and you will get a bunch of mixed reviews. Personally, I think Ikoi seems somewhat overrated nowadays. Don't get me wrong; they used to be really good and value for money but with the competition (Irodori for example), they are not as good as they used to be. The sashimi remains good and thickly sliced so tell the waiters you want thinner slices. The gimmicky soup from the tea pot is so-so. Skip the teppanyaki stuff as they are forgettable.

The tempura is pretty decent without being too oily. But I will really just stick to the sashimi (although you will get disappointed sometimes with sinews inside)
