After the First Visit to Flor Patisserie's Cafe / Bakery nearly two years back, I revisited it again this year, with *Katherine. It had been a tough choice to pick out the two cakes we wanted, from a whole array of interesting looking flavors, but we settled on the Wakakusayma (green tea swiss roll, usually priced at SGD$7.60) - one of my favorites. Note that their texture is not exactly fluffy light or melt-in-your-mouth soft, but the sapid aroma of green tea was notably distinct, and the fruits were very fresh.
Next, we had the Strawberry Souffle (SGD$7.30 a piece) - soft as chiffon cakes are, and the fresh cream was delightfully sweet in a light manner. There were fresh strawberries adorning the top and seeping in between the layers of the cake, and we liked the presence of real fruits.
I also ordered an additional Iced Cheese Tart (SGD$3.40) in Original flavor - they were thoughtful to slice it up into quarters for us. The solid crust was a lovely contrast to the icy cream-cheese layer atop. The cheese flavor was light, and smooth, the way I remember it was during my very first visit.
