I went with my mom to Chinatown to eat and explore the area as my mom hasn't been there for a long time already! Anyway, we walk past by this confectionery and my mom suddenly recalls back the long queue each time for the moon cakes at this shop in the past! My grandmother would make her and my aunts/uncles to take turn and queue! Anyway, we bought their Salty tau sar piah and Almond cookies. My grandmother would make her and my aunts/uncles to take turn and queue! Anyway, we bought their Salty tau sar piah and Almond cookies. The salty filling in these tau sar piah isn't the one that I particularly like but rather it is a salty green bean filling. The almond cookies are fragrant and crispy but subsequent bites it began to taste rather normal. I guess their signature is their mooncakes and I will be back during the Mid-Autumn festival!
