The Old Malaya Cafe is a good place to have a cheap meal in Orchard, located at the basement of 313 Somerset. I had their pontian wanton noodles, which costs around $4. Pontian has many other stalls across singapore, and this wasn't one of the better ones. The noodles were quite lumpy, and their fried wanton wasn't crispy thin. They could do with a little more vegetables as well.
