Once i stepped inside Windowsill in the Woods, I immediately fell in love with the place. They had such a cutesy decor like the few pine trees around the cafe, a retro yellow fridge that's hard to be missed, picnic baskets etc. Location wise, it is a pretty accessible, 10 mins walk from Lavender MRT Station. Walk down Horne Road towards Jalan Besar Stadium and the cafe is just opposite. With a wide array of artisan pies to choose from, my friend & I had a fairly hard time deciding. As I've heard

With a wide array of artisan pies to choose from, my friend & I had a fairly hard time deciding. As I've heard raves about the S'more pies, I was anticipating to try it. However it was all sold out but by the time we reach there :/, which was around evening. Finally settled on the Strawberry Lemon and Salted Caramel Chocolate pie and both, I must say, was enjoyable Normally, I'm not a fan of strawberry but this pie is simply delish! The luscious lemon custard matches well with the tube-shaped strawberry compote which lined on the pie base. I've always like chocolate & caramel flavor, so it was no doubt that i love it as well. We also ordered a Chai Latte & Cappuccino to go along with our pies. Both were decent but personally I felt that an extra dose of spice in the Chai Latte would make it taste even better.
In total, we spent $24.50 which in my opinion, is reasonably priced. The staff are friendly, the food is good, and it makes a nice place to chill out with friends. This cafe is a must-go for all those who love cafe hopping and i would certainly be back for more!
