The first thing when I got back to work on Monday was to make a quick trip to the Market Street Food Centre for my favourite 'economy bee-hoon'. The queue was quite long but not too bad. I had the standard set of fried bee-hoon, chicken wing, runny fried egg and a bit of vegetable - all for the usual $2.20..... And it tested really heavenly.

The bee-hoon was tasty, the chicken wing was tender to the bite and the egg yolk oozed its golden goodness adding to the flavor of the bee-hoon. I love it that due to the high turnover, the food is constantly being cooked and everything is still at least warm.

Hehehe.... I went back to the stall around 1pm and bought a takeaway packet for lunch again. This time, I picked my own food - bee-hoon mixed with noodles, the fish roll, otak and an egg. This time, I was charged $3.50. Still, I am overall pretty satisfied.
