Song Fa Bak Kut Teh - Chinatown Point
Song Fa Bak Kut Teh
2015-02-08
Opening its 5th branch at the Chinatown Point, Song Fa Bak Kut Teh had made their cuisine easily access to the locals and even tourists. Public transport such as MRT and bus are just nearby and this location also draw office crowds too since CBD is just nearby. I had to rush to queue during my lunch break to avoid lunch crowd. Luck is on my side indeed as i manage to have my table within 5 mins. Well, Song Fa Bak Kut Teh had been around for such a long time, they even managed to attract tourists to visit their shops. Since I did not have a chance to try their food, so I decided to drop by and decide for myself if it is good. The place is flooded with customers during lunch time, i guess it will be much worse during dinner time!!Have a look at the menuFrom main dishes to braised dishes to side dishes and drinks, you will be able to see what they have to offer at a glance Lots of waiters and waitresses can be seen, hence it is easy to catch their attentionHomemade Barley ($1.80) - Sweetness is just right. The barley are nearly mashed up, hence it is much more easier to drink with the straw Chili, dark soy sauce are providedBraised Pig's Intestines ($6.50) - At a glance, it does not really look delicious, but after I took a bite, my mind really blew off. I am bewildered by how clean the intestines are washed, absolutely no funky smell at all. The intestines are well marinated and braised, the sauce can be tasted when you chew at the intestine. Braised sauce is savoury but not overwhelming. Highly recommended to order!Premium Loin Ribs ($9.50) - Wow, this is really an expensive premium dish. The meat is very tender, easily to separate the meat from the bones. Well marinated and tasty too. The soup is very peppery and taste of garlic and peppers. However, the broth lack of the sweetness from the meat which is what I am looking for. I am really disappointed with it. This is just a dish which the ribs and the soup are prepared separately. Totally no fusion at all. Remember to return the wet tissue if you do not require it, it will be deducted off your billThere are 2 queues which are operating simultaneously, one is located at the front door while the other queue are located in the shopping mall itself. I will suggest to queue inside the shopping mall since there are air con compare to the front door queue. (Inside shopping mall queue)Verdict: 3.5 /5The taste of the food are fairly usual, I don not feel that there are any "wow" factor. Although the Pig's intestines and the loin ribs are are good, it somehow lack the flavour that I am looking for.Service provided by the staff are prompt and courteous, i am surprised since they appeared to be so busy and chaotic at times. Good job there!!Considering the price of the food sold here, I find it abit steep. Overall, I may not come back here again. Recommend for 1st timer only. Kow Loon Hong Kong Dim Sum - Ang Mo Kio
Kow Loon Hong Kong Tim Sum
2015-02-03
Kow Loon Hong Kong Dim Sum is a humble dim sum stall located within the heartland of Ang Mo Kio. This stall is easily missed if you are not a resident of this estate. Manage to drop by this place on a weekday afternoon and I notice that most tables were having their dim sum.The kitchen occupies two units space, and the workers were busy wrapping dumplings and buns and steaming them on the spot. Extensive picture menu Crispy Taro Dumpling, Egg tarts and BBQ Pork Puff (4 for $3.80) - These are sold these items separately in quantity of 4 pieces for each type. But you can always ask the nice auntie whether you can mix and match the types that you want to eat. I like the BBQ pork puff, its crispy with sweet filling. Taro dumpling tasted normal, no surprise. It is filled with small amount of taro paste with peas and carrot bites. As for egg tarts, taste just right for sweetness and the crust is not too hard too.Salted Egg Yolk Bun ($3.80) - This Salted egg yolk bun ooze out readily once you took a bite. Nice balance of butter and salted egg yolk. Eat it as soon as it is out from the steamer as the bun hardens after few minutes. I must say although this is not one of the best buns that i taste but it is really very good. A must order dish!!oozing in action!!Yummy yellow sauce that ooze out after taking a biteFresh shrimp cheong fun ($3.00) - Each chee chong fun (rice roll) contain 3 prawns and the chee chong fun are really big in size. Light soy sauce with sesame and garnish. It get harden quite easily hence better to eat it hot too.BBQ Pork Bun ($1.80) - These buns look like those that can be found in Hongkong cafe. Soft and chewy outer texture of the bun and you can find sweet and delicious pork filling once you tear open the bun. Wooooo, Yummy!! It's a pity that the amount of pork filling is lacking; otherwise this will be a wonderful bun. Mouth watering pork meat waiting for me to eat!! :'( Shrimp dumplings ($3.80) - 1 and a half prawns are wrapped in each of the steam dumplings. The prawns are fresh and crunchy, sweet juice can be seem dripping out from the dumpling after taking the 1st bite. The thickness of the dumpling is thin and i tasted more prawn than the flour after the 1st bite. Recommended for this dish!!!Pork dumplings aka 'Siew Mai' ($3.00) - Another generous filling dish. This Siew Mai does not really look big, but the pork meats are stuffed fully in each dumpling. What's more, you will be able to taste the sweetness of the pork meat too. I won't say that this is the best Siew Mai, but the freshness and generous amount of filling at such cheap price is really worth ordering.Chicken big Bun ($2.00) - This is a super big bun!! Lots of chicken meats are wrapped in the bun. This version of chicken bun is slightly different from the usual chicken bun that can be found outside. There are no slices of hard-boiled egg in the bun but you can find a piece of Lap Cheong (Chinese sausage) on the big chunk of chicken meat. Unique and yet somewhat mouth-watering.Spot the difference ------------> on top of the bun...Steamed Pork Dumplings ($5.00) - Yes, you didn't see any typo error here on the price. For only $5, you get a taste on the renowned Xiao Long Bao (Steamed Pork Dumpling). Sweet pork juice can be found wrapped in the dumpling. The meat is fresh and tasty too. Pour some vinegar and put some ginger slices when you are taking a bite on the juicy dumplings. Lots of juice wrapped in the dumpling. Tasty sweet juice which I couldn't bear to waste.Ginger slices and chilli sauce Verdict 3.5/5I like the food served here and the price is affordable too since they are located in a coffeeshop. I will certainly recommend to everyone and will come back again.…Read More

Merely Ice Cream - Sunshine Plaza
Merely Ice Cream
2015-02-01
Merely Ice Cream Merely ice cream is a humble ice cream parlor which makes ice cream from scratch with fresh ingredients, excluding any artificial flavouring or colouring.Merely's Bestseller: Salted butterscotch, black sesame, green tea, red velvet...Wide selection of about 12 flavours available each dayPer scoop of ice cream from $3.30 onwards. Waffle - $2.80Cone - $0.50Quite worth the price compare to some other ice cream cafesSmall space with rustic furniture and strong buttery ice cream aroma.Earl Grey and Green tea Ice Cream with waffle ($8.40) - Both scoops of ice cream was heavily flavoured. It taste similar to drinking matcha or earl grey milk tea. Waffle was warm and crispy, less of moist. As for Red Velvet, small chucks of red velvet cake are mixed with the buttery ice cream and this adds on to the texture of it.Sunshine Plaza is not an unfamiliar place for the frequent patrons of Victor's Kitchen or Parklane Wanton Noodles. Its a good place to chill especially for the students from Lasalle and SMU. Have your fresh scoop of ice cream from Merely ice cream!Verdict: 4/5Price: $3.00 plus onwards…Read More

To-gather Cafe - Bedok
To-gather Cafe
2015-02-01
To-gather CafeI was around the vicinity during the last public holiday, since bedok is famous for the bak chor mee hence i decide to eat it again. Due to the long queue, I u-turn back and drop here to try on this cafe. The cafe is packed and there is a waiting list, hence i left my contact number and went for a stroll nearby. When i was shown to my seat, the cafe is still full. You will have to make your order at the counter and pay your bill right after ordering. Nets and Credit card payment are availableDifferent cakes for selection. Chocolate lava cake is their best seller while the matcha lava cake is limited quantityCaller, but it is actually table number. Guess they will use it when they are short handedSimple menuMocha ($4.50) - Lots and lots of foam on the top of the mocha. I wont say this is one of the best i had but still ok, only that i dislike the too generous amount of foam that was on the top.Seafood Aglio Olio ($8.90) - I am bewildered by the amount of seafood that was served with the spaghetti. There are squid, salmon and prawns in this dish. Abit spicy but still delicious. I really recommended this dish if you drop by.Grilled Pandan Chicken ($8.90) - Unique pandan flavour, i can only savour this taste at the bottom of the grilled chicken, guess it was the sauce that give this pandan taste. Overall, still taste not bad. Matcha Lava Cake with Ice Cream ($6.90) - The cake is soft and mist, matcha flow out once you cut the cake. Vanilla ice cream taste good when you eat the the matcha cake. Recommended to try. But if this is not available, you can try their best seller which is the chocolate lava cake. Can you see the matcha flowing out at the middle section of the cake?? YummyVerdict: 4/5Price: $8.9 onwardsI like this place very much. Cheap food with good service, only negative area is that the seats are limited. Beside this, they also provide reservation service, you can leave you contact number and they will call you once the seats are available.I love the matcha lava cake. This dessert is newly launched i guess as the quantity are limited. The other best seller is the chocolate lava cake. You can try it too. The ice cream taste good and should eat with the warm cake together to give you a warm and cold sensation. The other most worth waiting dish is the seafood Aglio Olio. Alots of ingredients are added in with such a cheap price. Waiting time for this dish is a bit long, but i guess it is really worth it. …Read More

Jalan Sultan Prawn Mee
Jalan Sultan Prawn Mee
2015-01-30
Near Kallang MRT, this small prawn mee shop is conveniently within walkable distance from the public transport. In my view, i think this is one of the best prawn mee one can find in Singapore.Different version of prawn mee for you to choose, so does the price Pork Ribs Prawn noodle (soup) - What make a delicious prawn mee different from the rest of the shops? Its the broth. The soup is strong and tasty, shop owner use prawn shells and pork ribs to cook the broth, making it very tasty. The prawns are fresh and sweet. Really shiok.Pork Ribs Prawn noodle (Dry version) - Even in the dry version, you can still taste the prawn sweetness in the noodle as it was cooked using the broth, making the noodle nice and delicious. A bowl of soup is provided too. Operating hours: Wed - Mon: 08:00 - 15:30Closed: Tue…Read More

Song Kee Fishball Noodle - Upper Thomson Road
Song Kee Fish Ball Noodles
2015-01-30
Song Kee Fishball Noodle - Upper Thomson RoadBeing one of the top fishball noodle stall in Singapore, Song Kee fishball noodle is well liked by both the old and young for its handmade fishballs. It is popular among the supper crowd as well as it opens till late night about 2pm or till the fishballs are sold out. Queue starts at around 630pm before it open for business at 7pm. Queue up to make your orderMee Pok Dry ($6 big) - The big portion includes 3 large fishballs, 3 dumplings and 2 stuffed tau pok. All the ingredients are handmade fresh daily. You get to choose whether to add ketchup or chili sauce. I like all 3 ingredients especially the dumpling which was thinly wrapped with a unique flavoured pork and mushroom mixture. The tau pok was stuffed with an adequate amount of fish paste as well. Mee pok noodle was good as well without yellow noodle aftertaste. Mee Tai Bak Dry ($4 small) - 3 fishballs, 1 dumpling and 1 tau pokHome-made dumpling filled with minced pork and mushroom, tasty and delicious.Hand-made fishball taste nice as well. The fishball is more firm compared to those machine made and you are able to taste the sweetness of the fishball itself. Clear soup filled with fishball tasteDo drop by for your bowl of satisfying fishball noodle if you are at Upper Serangoon region. Verdict: 3.5/5Price: $4 - $6…Read More

West Co'z Cafe (West Coast Plaza)
West Co'z Café
2015-01-29
Located in west coast plaza, West Co'z Café serve fusion food that is Halal and mixture of Chinese and Thai foods. Most of their dishes are offered at an affordable price. It is recommend to make reservation before having your meal there as the queue is quite long during weekend. Waiting time can be up to 30mins to 1 hour. It is a nice place to dine in with your family.Curry Fish Head ($20) - Spicy and savory, this curry fish head is delicious. For this price, half of the fish head is served with lots of side ingredients like long beans, lady finger, tau pok and egg plant. The fish head is fresh and the meat is firm and tender, together with the curry sauce, it taste good. Simply must order. Salted Egg Sotong ($12) - I like salted egg dish, this is one of the best. The Sotong are fried crispy, making its texture chewy. Together with the salted egg sauce, this is a very evil dish to have, but who cares right? Just eat it!! Thai Style Kangkong ($9) - Abit spicy, the kangkong are washed thoroughly, hence there are no sandy feeling while chewing. The kangkong are stir fry with preserved beans, hence its spicy and sourly, very appetizing Braised beancurd ($15) - Fried Beancurd with savory sauce and lots of vegetables on the sides. The beancurd is lightly fried on the outside, you can taste the softness of the beancurd. Lots of sliced cabbage, mushroom and carrot. Prawn Paste Chicken ($10) - Juicy meat on the inside of the wings, delicious prawn paste chickenEgg Fu Yong ($8) - This dish impressed me much as it is not oily and the interior of the egg is moist and soft. This really test the cook's skill and how he handle the amount of heat require to cook this egg. Lots of prawn bits are found in it.Tel: 6779 1303Opening Hour: Mon to Sun 1130 - 2130Verdict: 4/5Nice place to have dinner, i liked the curry fish head the most. The strong curry is really nice to eat together with white rice. In addition, the fish head is fresh at a low price. Other dishes fare good as well.Long waiting list if you want to drop by to have your dinner, so just make reservation. They have calling system to inform you if your table is ready. Sunday Folks (Chip Bee Garden - Singapore)
Sunday Folks
2015-01-29
Presenting to you Sunday Folks, the same group of people who created creamier. The difference between these 2 cafes are that Sunday Folks serve only 6 different flavours of ice cream and assorted cakes compare to its counterpart. In addition, the ice cream here are more like softee, soft ice cream. The queue can be crazily long. When i came today, the queue stretch out to the outside. There is no queuing system and the tables are so limited, you just have to find a seat before you queue to order or just take away. Well, as Holland V MRT is just near its vicinity, now this place is very accessible. No wonder the crowd are drawn to here. Their signature flavours for the ice cream are sea salt gula melaka, dark chocolate, madagascar vanilla, roasted pistachio and summer strawberries. For me, i prefer the sea salt gula melaka and roasted pistachio.Cakes are available for order at the counter. If waffles aren’t quite your thing, there are other offerings too. We spotted roasted pistachio ice-cream (from $6.90) being whisked from the kitchen, and this was served in a chocolate cone and topped off with pistachio nuts and a pastry stick. Cakes were on hand too, like a Japanese matcha cake ($7.90), matcha roll ($6.90), and cheesecake ($6.90), which were highly tempting.Different type of topping. You can refer to the menu for the type of topping that you like. Different set of topping are charged differently. But, all types are good.Order number, your order will be served shortly (hopefully...)Pistachio ice cream waffles dripped with maple syrup. I have no complaint on the ice cream and the soft waffles that simply melt in your mouth, but the decoration of fruits with chocolate and maple syrup obviously shown that these are pre-made waiting for the waffles and ice cream to be served. Utterly disappointing in terms of service. Tel: 6479 9166Operating hour: 12:00 - 22:00Verdict: 3.5/5It is a cosy place to chill out with friends and family members. I know my verdict are abit low compare to others. Firstly, the service is slow and shaky, tables are not clean promptly nor wipe till one of the staff with table cloth that goes around wiping table.Ordering service is draggingggggggggg, hence resulted in the long queue. Things can be done faster if the counter staffs are more quick handed. Cutleries and cups are not properly clean, i can find stain everywhere. The only score point is the standard of the ice cream and waffles which i am satisfied. Other than that, i will think twice when to come here again.…Read More

Ichi Tei Japanese Bento & Udon
Ichi Tei Japanese Dining
2015-01-29
Uncovering the great food that are available in Sunshine Plaza beside Victor's kitchen and Wanton mee. Ichi Tei Japanese Bento & Udon, which is located just beside Parklane Zha Yun Tun (Wanton) Mee House offer affordable Japanese food with good quality. Ichi Tei Japanese Bento & Udon is a small shop that cater 5 tables of customers only, hence be prepared to wait if the shop is full or you are with more than 4 people as there won't be any table that can sit large group of customers. From the menu, spoiled of choice from Don to udon to Sashimi that are available for ordering. However, do remember to check for the type of sashimi that are available for the day as it may differ depending on supply. Sides and drinks Sashimi Moriawase ($18) - 3 different kind of sashimi served, we have HUGE pieces of salmon, swordfish (white colour thingy that you seeon top) and clam ( the one in red which i presume). Fresh and sweet, are the 2 words that came to my mind. Spread some wasabi on the sashimi to kill off bacteria. Chawanmushi ($2.50) - Nice little pot of steamed egg with chicken meat and narutomaki fish cakesChicken Teriyaki Don ( $7.50) - This is one of the popular dish which you must order and try. The Chicken meat is grilled in the oven and this really test the skill of the chef. The top layer of the chicken was grilled to slightly charred and at the same time the meat is fully cooked and succulent. The teriyaki sauce which was then pour over the meat and seep onto the rice, making it fragrant and savory. Each bite on the meat making me to want more!!Thick meat chuck!!!Tel: 91391746 Opening Hours: Daily 11am – 8.30pm (Closed on Sun)Verdict: 4 /5I really love their food, the quality is high and price is pretty much affordable too compare to other Japanese restaurant that offer similar range of japanese food. Service is prompt and fast, i didnt have to wait for too long for my food. The only concern i have should be the ventilation. Poor ventilation and i smell of food after I left that shop. Other than that, the rest met my standard.I will definitely come back again, maybe not when i am working in my office wear.…Read More

Bollywood Veggies Poison Ivy Bistro

Bollywood Veggies is one of a unique rural scene of Singapore which is well hidden at a deep corner of Kranji and Lim Chu Kang region. Due to its inaccessible location, the place is not too crowded and it provide a peaceful stroll by the vegetable and flower gardens after a meal. Poison Ivy is a restaurant within Bollywood Veggies which provide an organic dining option for the visitors, to have a healthy and satisfying meal while at the farm. Vegetarian meal available as well.Poison Ivy Cafe - outdoor seatingAir Conditional cafeMenu written on chalk boardDessert and drinks menu. One of the hightly recommended item is the banana cake which is made from the bananas freshly plucked from the tree.Banana cake ($3.50) - Warm and moist with rich banana taste. Cake is firm and yet soft in texture. With just one bite, you will be able to taste the banana straight away. It is best to eat it immediately while its served warm. Absolutely fresh and delicious. Recommended!!Aleo Vera ($3) - Aleo vera cubes are small and in small quantity. Not too sweet, organic right!!Warrior's Platter ($20) - This value for money platter consist of 6 dishes: curry chicken, chap chye, fried vegetables, chicken wings, achar and tofu with mixed vegetables. Platter is served with brown rice. Larger platter is available for 4pax as well.Chap Chye - Fresh vegetables that are grown in the farm. Very crunchy.Fried Vegetables - I guess they fried the vegetables. It is crunchy and crispy and at the same time not too oily. Rather bland in flavourWarrior's Chicken Curry - Woooo, this is one good dish. Abit spicy but at the same time slightly sweet and sour. Guess its due to the bits of pineapple added into the curry. The chicken meat is tender and firm, highly recommendedAchar Fish (left) and Tofu with Vegetables (right)Bollywings - Crispy chicken wings Home made Fig tea and Banana cakes for take awayBesides dining, Bollywood Veggies is definitely a good place for family bonding especially during the weekend or school holidays. It is definitely an educational trip for young children as all plants and flowers are neatly labelled all around the farm. Lady M - Orchard Central
Lady M
2015-01-29
One of the latest outlet opened at Orchard Central with 2 storey high of seats for you to choose. Of course, i prefer the staircase sofa seats which are larger in space and more privacy too. Oops, no photo taken for that.. LOLA range of delicate cakes such as the signature crepe cakes, strawberry shortcake, tarts etc...All day breakfast, salads and soup are served as wellChocolate Mille Crepe ($9.00) - Only available at Lady M Orchard Central. I really love this version of crepe cake alot. Very chocolaty and i just can't get enough of it, still wanting to get more. The chocolate cream at every layer is thick and its sweetness is just nice, plus the softness of the crepes.. hmmmm yummy. Really must try as this is only available at OC outlet. Eat it as soon as it is served while the crepe cake is still firm.Matcha Mille Crepe ($9.00) - One of the best seller cake of Lady M. Strong Matcha flavour from the generous matcha powder on top of it and from the matcha cream at each layer. Taste is as good as it looks. Slightly sweeter as compared to the chocolate crepe cake.Verdict 4/5Address: 181 Orchard Road, Orchard Central Shopping Mall #01-27 & #02-07, Singapore 238896(Also available at Marina Square Shopping Mall and One Fullerton)…Read More

Two Blur Guys - Tanjong Pagar
Two Blur Guys
2015-01-29
The CBD and Tanjong Pagar district offers a wide range of food which attracts both the weekday and weekend crowds. One of them is the Two Blur Guys which is located at a walking distance from Tanjong Pagar Mrt. It is a burger joint which is popular among the young office crowds as they offer a fuse free meal with coffee or beer, good for both quick lunch and dinner chill.Pulled Pork Burger ($13.85) - shredded slow cooked pork sandwiched in between lightly buttered and toasted wholemeal soft bun, together with melted cheese and tomato. All the ingredients fused together perfectly with every bite. Meat was moist and tender, not too salty or dry. Serving portion of burger was decent enough for a normal meal, but not for a hungry stomach. For the price paid for, serving quality and quantity certainly worth it.Pulled Chicken Burger ($12.85) - Same appearance as the pulled pork. Taste was quite similar as well except that texture of shredded chicken was dryer as compare to the earlier one. Not too bad though. Each set comes with a serving of large chunk potato salad and fresh vegetables.Small capacity of interior seats. Consider outdoor seats if you do not want to infuse your hair with smell due to its open concept kitchen.Alfresco seatsVariety of burgers on the menu. Most of it looks appealing to me. Drinks and dessert menuVerdict: 4/5This burger joint definitely stands out from the others for its satisfying and well priced burger set. Service was very good and prompt, and staff was attentive as well. There are other burgers on the menu that are worth trying, I will certainly visit this place again to try them out.Address: 1 Tras Link, #01-13, Orchid Hotel, Singapore 078867 (Walk 5 mins from Exit A of Tanjong Pagar Mrt)…Read More

Long Phung Vietnamese Restaurant
Long Phung
2015-01-29
(This photo is taken after 3pm when the queue had already subsided.. LOL) An authentic Vietnamese Restaurant, Long Phung, located at Joo Chiat road serves quality food at affordable price. The restaurant is popular with locals and the foreigners as well. The queue is quite long when i reached there at 2pm and i had to wait 15mins to get a seat. Their specialty is Pho Dac Biet - Sliced beef noodle which i had heard so many people talking about itRestaurant is full even after 2pm. My goodness.......Vietnamese Spring Roll (Small $7) - 4 spring rolls wrapped with vermicelli, vegetables, bean sprouts, sliced prawn and pork. The rolls are extremely fresh and crunchy. The vermicelli is used instead of turnip which we usually see from the chinese spring roll version. The softness of the vermicelli in this spring roll is wonderful. The vegetables and bean sprouts adds crunch to the spring roll and if you are a meat eater like me, there are prawn and pork slices wrapped together too. Dipped into the sweet brown sauce with peanuts bits for extra flavors and crunch.Chicken noodle soup ($6.50) - The clear broth is fantastic! It is tasty and not salty. Lots of garlic, onions and bones must have used to create this wonderful broth. The broth is not oily and with the Pho (kueh tiao noodle), it is simply delicious. Generous portion of vegetables and garnish. Really a comfort food!Grilled Pork Vermicelli ($8.50) - Slightly more expensive dry noodle but it comes with fried spring roll and grilled pork chop. A bowl of slightly sweet syrup is given to add in the mixture for easy mixing. Lots of ingredients such as fried onions, peanuts, bean sprouts, cucumber and cabbage are added into the vermicelli as well. The dish itself taste superb. The syrup makes this dish slightly sweet which make it very appetizing and refreshing. The amazing part is the fried spring rolls and pork chop which are fresh, not oily and goes well with the other ingredients. Really a must try dish. Verdict: 4 /5Good food, fast service and affordable pricing. This is really a good place to visit if you have not do so. Try it, you may change your mind about Vietnamese cuisine. They are much more delicious than what you think.…Read More

Hanare Japanese Cafe & Restaurant - Tanjong Pagar
Hanare
2015-01-29
A flagship of Teppi Japanese Restaurant, Hanare serves Chirashi Don as one of their main dish. Located near Orchid hotel, you can find Hanare at 3rd storey of a shophouse (beside Blue Ginger). You can choose curry set or Bara Chirashi Don setCustomer can choose to opt for a Buffet Set ($19.90), or their famed Bara Chirashi Set ($17.60) which is their mini buffet where you get a bowl of Chirashi Don with unlimited servings of 4 side dishes and miso soup. The Bara Chirashi Buffer Set ($29.90) entitle you the whole buffet side dishes. I would recommend Set B if you are a big eater.Side dishes Buffet area Cook your own noodle. The broth is thick and savory.Fried prawn, fried saba, croquette and fried chicken chunks (left to right) Fried salmon belly!!! The meat is thick and juicy, of cos the fats play a part in it!Mini Buffet set consist of fried salmon pieces, salad, braised salmon, edamame etc etcMiso soup at your own helpingHighlight of the day: Chirashi Don. Loads of fish given on a bowl of rice. The fish consist of salmon, tuna, clam and roe. All the ingredients are marinated and taste savory and fresh. Mix abit of wasabi to further enhance the taste. You would be having warm rice with cold sashimi, such a wonderful combination.Verdict: 4 /5The prices is very affordable consider that it comes with the buffet and chirashi don. The food fare pretty good and i have no complaint on the chirashi don. However due to its small capacity, it is unable to cater for too many customers.Address: 99B Tanjong Pagar Road Singapore 088520, Level 3 (Walk 7 mins from Tanjong Pagar Mrt exit A towards Orchid Hotel, beside Blue Ginger)…Read More
